Cost Estimators (Tyndall AFB, Panama City, FL)there is a 6-8 week delay while candidate is being approvedThis position would be for a 1 year

This would be a 40/week onsite position.

Cost Estimator AECOM has a need for multiple onsite Cost Estimators to support the Resident Office at Tyndall AFB near Panama City, Florida.
This position will include preparation of detailed cost estimates by analyzing plans and specifications and performing quantity take-offs for the assigned project.
The selected candidate will need to have a strong understanding of contractual terms and conditions.
Develop and prepare conceptual estimates using design documents and information using on screen take-offs and estimating.
Job DescriptionResponsible for activities related to estimating all elements of project cost including labor (manual and non-manual), materials and permanent equipment, supplies, consumables and expenses, construction equipment rental and operating costs, contingency, escalation, program risk, etc.

Minimum RequirementsBA/BS
8 YORE or AA/AS (US)
10 YORE or Diploma/Certificate (Canada)
10 YORE or HS/GED
12 YORE Preferred Requirements BS in civil or Construction Engineering, or equivalent work experience 5 years in Heavy Civil Construction Estimating Previous USAC Experience Strong math and analytical skills Knowledge of estimating software Ability to prepare detailed budgets Ability to prepare detailed materials lists and costs Ability to read, interpret and navigate plans and specification Knowledgeable of the Company estimating systems and processes.
Understands estimating terminology and measures and recognizes estimating processes/project actions that may impact the project.
Understands construction means, methods, and sequences-multiple disciplines.
Develops Work Breakdown Structures.
Capable of managing the preparation of an estimate.
Evaluates suitability of scope and execution plan for basis of estimate.
Initiates the preparation of an Estimate Plan (approach, techniques, level of effort, cost, schedule), Basis of Estimate and qualifications.
Prepares bid tabulations responding to the customer/Request for Proposal requirements.
Collects, analyzes and archives project data.
Develops historical documentation.
Develops current project estimate comparisons with previous performance and market benchmark data.
Knowledge of Primavera Project and Microsoft Project schedules and be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project.
