You will provide program and financial analysis support to the CG's Acquisition Services Division. Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include:
Performing cost estimating and analyses to compute and track performance measures, develop cost performance metric and resource planning. Identifies cost drives and performs cost trade-odd or Cost As an Independent Variable (CAIV) analysis to establish capability needs. Performing an analysis of different financial management programs, operations and activities related to project funding. Performing analysis of different financial management program, operations, activates to develop audit plans. To qualify for the GS-13, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Specialized experience includes the following:
Experience applying acquisition policies and processes for acquisition programs. Experience utilizing qualitative/quantitative methods for assessment and improvement of program effectiveness. Experience conducting management studies/reviews. Experience monitoring budget allocations and executions. National Service Experience (i.e., volunteer experience):
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.The Office of Personnel management (OPM) must authorize employment offers made to current or former political appointees. If you are currently, or have been within the last 5 years, a political Schedule A, Schedule, C, Non-career SES or Presidential Appointee employee in the Executive Branch, you must disclose this information to the Human Resources Office.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
