IT SPECIALIST (PLCYPLN)

The GG-12 duties for the Professional work category are at the Full Performance work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-12 level. BASIC REQUIREMENT OR INDIVIDUAL OCCUPATIONAL REQUIREMENT:
Education:
All academic degrees and coursework must be from accredited or pre-accredited institutions Undergraduate or Graduate Education:
Degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management or degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks. In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below:
Experience Experience must be IT related; the experience may be demonstrated by paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training (for example, IT certification), as appropriate GS-5 through GS-15 (or equivalent):
For all positions individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below. Specialized Experience for GS-7 (or equivalent) and Above:
Positions at GS-7 (or equivalent) and above require one year of specialized experience at the next lower GS-grade (or equivalent). Specialized experience is experience that has equipped the applicant with the particular competencies/knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position and is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. Such experience is typically gained in the IT field or through the performance of work where the primary concern is IT. Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of current and emerging Command, Control Communications, Computer (C4) and Command and Controls, Communications, Information (C31), and Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (JSR) programs and systems. 2. In-depth knowledge of the Cybersecurity field that includes Computer Security (COMPUSEC), Network Security, Incident Response, Defense in Depth, and RMF. Knowledge of US and international Cybersecurity standards. 3. Thorough knowledge of national, defense and Air Force laws, directives, policies, and regulations pertaining to unique communication and data processing requirements associated with processing SCI and intelligence data. 4. Ability to communicate orally and in writing. Ability to perform independent assessments based on incomplete data for all forms of electronic communications. 5. Ability to interpret, analyze, and evaluate new system engineering technologies and their effect on the operating environment and determine security vulnerabilities. Ability to perform in-depth technical system analysis and apply acquired knowledge and experiences to forecast new computer methods required to support intelligence information users. 6. Skill in handling classified data in accordance with established DoD procedures PART-TIME OR UNPAID
Experience:

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
