Experience:
Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-12, level or band (or equivalent in other pay systems), which has equipped me with experience necessary to perform the job. Examples of creditable specialized experience include expert knowledge of FAA Regulation, Civil Aviation Organization regulations, FLIP documents, DoD, Air Force and MAJCOM directives pertaining to airspace matters, airway structures, oceanic routes, controlled and special use airspace, aeronautical charts, airfield information and restrictions, en route supplements, flight safety, and security regulations in order to serve as Civil and Combat Search and Rescue (CSAR) and Civil SAR Program Specialist. Expert knowledge of agency program goals and objectives, the sequence and timing of key program events and milestones, and methods of evaluating the worth of program accomplishments; as well as knowledge of relationships with other programs and key administrative support functions within the AFRCC, NOAA, Civil Air Patrol, and National SAR School. This knowledge is critical to the development and maintenance of effective, national level rescue programs in direct support of exercises, contingencies operations, and other vital national objectives. FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS:
Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in- grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-12 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-13 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs):
Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Extensive current knowledge of aeronautical SAR procedures, including coordination at the national, state and local levels and knowledge of a wide range of methods related to the planning, coordination and execution of on-going, SAR operations in direct support of the national SAR plan, contingency operations, and other vital national objectives. 2. Extensive current knowledge of SAR programs and objectives, state of the art computer search planning programs, and advanced search theory and application. 3. Extensive current knowledge of military and civilian SAR training program processes and skill in applying the principles and techniques of education and instruction to develop course materials and instructional methods, principles, and techniques. 4. In depth knowledge of SAR publications, FAA regulations, ICAO regulations, Flight Information Publications (FLIP) documents, DoD, Air Force and MAJCOM directives pertaining to airspace matters, airway structures, oceanic routes, controlled and special use airspace, aeronautical charts, airfield information and restrictions, en route supplements, flight safety, and security regulations. 5. Knowledge of basic budget preparation. 6. Skill in using and trouble shooting various DoD unique computer based software programs such as SAR Master, Combat Survivor Evader Locator, and Defense Messaging System. 7. Skill in developing and monitoring State SAR Agreements and Memorandum of Understanding. 8. Ability to develop SAR training courses and to teach content including investigating a case and coordinating with other organizations, as well as planning search and rescue cases to maximize the probability of detection, and adjusting the search area as needed; collecting and compiling information about emergency situations and training issues, and briefing supervisors and other agencies. 9. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. 10. Ability to deal with diverse populations. PART-TIME OR UNPAID

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
